Wash (warm water) several times to activate the absorbency.  These are 100% linen, so do not put in your dryer.  Hang to dry, then iron while still damp on the reverse of the towel. I know, I know -- IRON??  Don't panic -- they're easy to iron ~ just a rectangle ; )
